PHOTOGRAPHY I
Student Objectives: Why a website?
* Students will be able to use Weebly.com to create their own personal website to store and share their best work. This will be a great opportunity for critique and grading. This website will also give the student an opportunity to observe growth throughout the photographic learning process.
* The teacher will be able to access the student website and give feedback on projects and assignments.
* Students will be able to communicate with the teacher through the website in case they have questions or need clarification on a project.
* Students will be able to add to their digital portfolio on their webpages year after year.
Directions for your HOMEPAGE!
Welcome to the main page! Here is where you will tell everyone a little bit about yourself. Your experience, your education, your plans, your goals, etc. All that goes right here. Have fun! Remember, this is a PUBLIC website, so please don't post anything too personal or inappropriate!
FIRST: Upload a picture of yourself!
This should be an image of YOU. It can be distorted. It can be something other than your face (an alternative self-portrait maybe?) It goes along with your bio. It can be a school photo, it can be a ridiculous selfie, but it will give the audience a sense of who you are.
SECOND: Create a quick BIO about yourself. List nicknames, hobbies, talents, interests, family...the things that inspire you. Make this fun! Include two goals you have as a photographer/in this class.
Third: Add two photographs done by professional photographer that inspire you. Include their name and a link to their website.

Inspirational Photographers
Underwater dog shots done by Seth Casteel. Such a playful subject taken from a perspective we rarely get to see! Who couldn't like these??? Mrs. Revelle is obviously a dog fan, but you have to check these out!

David Lachapelle's "House at the end of the World." David is a really fun playful photographer that often has a lot of controversial undertones. He has worked with countless celebrities and creates super complex sets. The narratives in his photos always keep me guessing. He first started working as a photographer for Andy Warhol! How cool is that?!! Click here for more information. |
